Back To School & Monday Made It

Hi! Long time no see. Today was the first day of school. I got to meet most of my new babies last Friday, but today was the day I got to spend time with them and start getting to know them. There are 19 kids in my classroom, there were 18 last Friday. I think soon I will have 22 :). Last year I had more girls, but this year I have more boys...so, it is very different. They are super cute, but I really need to practice routines...you know how this goes. Also, I am working on some fun name activities, since my sweet students are having a hard time recognizing/writing their names. I am excited to work with them! I have been wanting to "reveal" my classroom for this new school year, but I keep on forgetting to take pictures. Boo for me, but I did take a picture of the Jitter Juice we made...well, I also forgot to take a picture of the poster I made. How could this happen? Ha! I will take a picture tomorrow :), and thank you Abby for this wonderful activity. My kids were super excited, and they couldn't wait to taste it.

For this Monday Made it I worked on the picture frame for the first day of school. I really like the way it turned out.
Oh nooo...they d fell off :(

Here is a picture of my babies so excited about their first day in Kindergarten. I will try my best to take pictures of my classroom tomorrow :) and I hope you all have a wonderful school year.

Must-Haves Monday

I have finally "finished" my crafting for today :). Today was my first day official day in school. We have a week of staff development, then on Friday we will have our "Meet The Teacher Day", and I am SO nervous. I just wish I will be done with my classroom's last details by Thursday. I was in school from 7:45-3:45 in meetings...then I stayed until 6:00. And after a trip to Hobby Lobby, I worked on some of the last details {can't wait to show you how my classroom is turning out :)}. Now I can finally link up to Blog Hoppin' for Must-Haves Monday!

My Erin Condren Planner. I love it...I love doodling and writing all my ideas in it. Also, I write what I plan on cooking for every week :)

My Silhouette Cameo. LOVE it. Today I made some letters for my bulletin board. I will show you the finished product soon!

Flair Pens. They are so colorful...they brighten my day!

Scrapbook Paper. I love making letters or craftivities using this material. Too cute and colorful.

What are your back to school must haves? I hope you have a wonderful week!

Sneak A Peek

I love all the wonderful products and ideas you can now find online made by teachers, for teachers. Today I am linking up with Blog Hoppin' to share what I bought on Teachers Pay Teachers. I'm so excited!

Julie Lee's August Intervention Packet. This will complement her School's In Session {That I already have printed and ready for my new babies}. This packet is awesome, love her and everything she creates :)

Kathleen Pedersen's Daily Calendar Bundle. I can't say enough good things about this packet, I'm in LOVE...can't wait to use it in my classroom.

Deedee Wills and Deanna Jump's Writing Through the Year. I love this one too. It has everything you need for your Writer's Workshop.

What have you bought for this new school year? Now I need to continue cutting, and then laminate everything :D
Have a beautiful Friday!

First Day Of School Headband {English and Spanish}

Do you kids like headbands? Even though I have't met my new babies yet, I think they will like them :) I hope they do, because I love them! I wanted my new students to have a headband for the first day of school, so I created this one! I like it because they can draw and/or label all about their first day of school, such as their themselves:) their teacher, what they had for lunch, etc. If you like the idea please grab it for free by clicking on any of the pictures below. If you do so, please leave me a comment and maybe follow me too? That would mean the world to me. Now I have to go back to my classroom, still have lots to do. I hope you are having a fantastic day!

Monday Made it

Hi everyone! So, here is my Monday Made It #2 :D. This is my last week of vacation, teachers go back on Monday, then on the 24th we are having our meet the teacher day. I am so happy/excited about it, but also very nervous. I don't know why, but it makes me nervous just thinking of meeting my new kids, hoping they will like me :) and their new home away from home. Well, let me show you what I worked on.

These are some letters for my word wall :)

I also worked on my new behavior "chart", although this is not a chart, ha! I used these silver mini buckets from target. I still need to add my kids' names or pictures on the colorful straws. I will upload the labels {free} tomorrow, since I couldn't do it today on Teachers Pay Teachers :(

I made some labels for literacy stations. I will also upload these labels {free} tomorrow :)

And last, but not least, I made my own "Tidy Tubs". When I saw this idea at Rowdy in Room 300, I knew I had to do it. I think is a great idea to have these tubs at the tables when we do cut and paste activities. I made one for each of my tables.

I hope you have a beautiful week, and I will "see" you tomorrow :) !

Monday Made it

This is my first Monday Made it! I am linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics :). I hope you like what I worked on. Last year I made some letters to have on top of my bulletin board, outside my classroom.

But for this new school year, I wanted to make them prettier...and sparklier :) so I added some puffy paint and sequins!

I also continued organizing my classroom, my closet is almost done! I just need labels, and more labels :)

I am still working on my shelves, too!

This will be my teacher's corner.

I also need labels for these baskets.

I hope you are having a wonderful Monday!

Blogging, Classroom, and Currently :)

Hi everyone! Welcome to my Bilingual Scrapbook! My third year of teaching is about to begin, and I couldn't be happier. I have loved looking, searching, learning, and putting into practice all of your wonderful ideas. After wanting to collaborate with all of you I have finally decided to jump in :). Now I will be able to share the activities my kids enjoy the most in the classroom.

Last week, I went back to my classroom.
This is how I left my classroom in June.

Then...I decided to take out everything and clean. I really wanted to reorganize my closet and all of my shelves. Here are a few pictures to show you how it looked on Wednesday.

After a few hours and many clorox wipes, my classroom is looking a little bit better. Well, at least my closet is :)

I know it is not completely finished, but I am happy with the progress I've made. Hopefully tomorrow I can share more pictures.

Now, since August is here, I am linking up with Farley in this month's currently.

See you tomorrow for my first Monday Made it!
